Jerrold Leon Vaughan

Jerrold Leon Vaughan, 79, of Streator IL went with the lord to the path of heaven on February 4th 2021 in Weslaco TX. 

He was born March 21,1941 to the late Rance Eldon Vaughan and Ella Jean (Morgan) Vaughan. He was preceded in death great granddaughter Angel Vaughan.  

He married Jeanette (Pollett) Vaughan on March 24 1973. Also surviving is his sister Carol (James) Simmons, brother-in-law Ralph (Cheryl) Pollett, sister-in-law Ina (Jeff) Behrens, sons, Brian (Tara) Petrotte, Rance Eldon (Dusti) Vaughan Sr. daughters Staci (Jim) Durgach, and Joelle Vaughan Beavers.

grandsons,Tony(Julia) Petrotte, Michael Durgach, Rance Edon Vaughan Jr, and Tenneyson Vaughan. granddaughters, Morgan (Jim) Lurz, Jeriann (Alexandria) Beavers, McKenize Leigh Beavers, Lillian Vaughan, Miley Vaughan, Rae Ann Petrotte, and Charley Petrotte. great granddaughters Savannah Lurz, Alivia Grimm and Aurora Grimm, great grandsons Anakin Franco, Noah Lurz, Bentley Lurz, and Cruz Lurz. Also surviving are many cousins, nieces and nephews. 

Jerry proudly served his country in the Army from 1964 to 1970. He was First Infantry Division Vietnam Veteran. He was a lifetime member of the VFW member post 1492, and American Legion member post 217, in Streator Il. He retired from Owens Illinois Glass after 42 years.

He enjoyed retirement on the beach relaxing, reading, doing cross word puzzles, and looking at the horizon. He was a member of First United Methodist Church-of Streator.

A celebration of life will be held at the American Legion in Streator on Friday the 21st of May from 2 – 6 p.m. with military honors conducted by members of the Streator American Legion and VFW.
