Jennifer “Jenny†Joy Holland, 42 of Streator passed away Saturday afternoon (May 16th) at the Richard J. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
A visitation will be held Wednesday from 9 – 11 AM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 AM at the funeral home with Pastor John Schmidtke officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Serving as pallbearers will be Son Dylan Holland, Brother Richard Hopkins, David Marshall, Tom Parcher, Uncles Tim Kakara and Mike Hopkins.
Jenny was born on October 4, 1972 in Streator to Richard and Patricia (Salat) Hopkins Sr. She married Michael Holland and he survives.
Also surviving are children Dylan, Dustin and Hannah Holland all of Streator, Parents, Richard and Trish Hopkins of Kangley, brother Richard (David Marshall) Hopkins Jr. of Streator, sister Nancy Hopkins of Kangley, mother-in-law, Judy Watson of Streator and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by a son David.
Jenny worked at the Streator YMCA and she enjoyed running and she also won 2nd place in the YMCA 5K Memorial Run.
She graduated from Woodland High School in 1991.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
