Jeannette M. Palaschak

March 26, 1936 — April 4, 2024


Jeannette M. Palaschak, 88 of Streator passed away Thursday morning (April 4, 2024) at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria. She had been a resident of Pavilion of Ottawa.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held SaturdayApril 13 at 3:30 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses in Ottawa.  Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery.

Jeannette was born on March 26, 1936, in Pontiac to Clarence and Marie (Albertson) Orr.  She married Alfred “Shorty” Palaschak on February 27, 1954.   He preceded her in death on July 19, 2006.

Surviving are her daughter June (John) Webber of Round Lake, IL and son Mark Palaschak of Streator; grandchildren, Dustin (Marisol) Webber, Alayna (Christopher) Moews, Brett, Ethan and Emma Palaschak; great grandchildren, Raelynn Webber and Charlotte Moews; brother, Gerald “Jerry” Orr of Kangley; sisters, Joyce (Fred) Thomas of Springhill, LA, Karen (Dean) Geneske of Streator, Linda (Ernie) Jacob of Marquette Heights, IL and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Clarence Jr and Jimmy Orr.

Jeannette retired from Streator Unlimited and was one of Jehovah Witnesses.

Memorials may be made in her name to Streator Unlimited.

The Winterrowd Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
