James E. Teegardin

James E. Teegardin, 82 of Streator passed away Friday morning (November 3, 2023) at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center, Rockford.

A visitation will be held Wednesday from 10 AM until 12noon at the Winterrowd Funeral Home with services following at noon.  Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.

Jim was born on June 17, 1941, in Streator to Walter and Ella (Crew) Teegardin.  He married Joann Giacinto on December 17, 1961.  She preceded him in death on January 12, 2019.

Surviving is a sister, Lois Hutchcraft of Carbondale, brother Gene (Delores) Teegardin of Streator, niece Reva Parker and a Cousin Bobbi Ferguson.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Joann and a sister Phyllis McClenning.

Jim graduated from Streator High School in 1959, he was a member of the First United Methodist Church.  Jim retired from Thatcher Glass and he and his wife owned Teegardin Lockup in Streator for many years.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
