James L. Hays
James L. Hays, 48 of Streator passed away Friday afternoon (September 30th) at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.
A visitation will be held Wednesday from 3 - 7 PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Services will be held Wednesday at 7PM at the funeral home with cremation rites following services.
Jim was born on December 17, 1967 in Streator to Ronald and Patricia (Eggers) Hays. He married Cassandra Moritz on September 22, 2012. She survives.
Also surviving are son, Matthew Hays of Marseilles, daughter, Jennifer Hays of Streator, grandson, Connor Hays, mother Pat Hays of Streator, brothers, Kevin (Christine) Hays of Streator, Brian Hays of Streator and a sister, Vicky Hays Sharisky of Streator and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father.
Jim attended Streator Grade Schools and Streator High School. He attended Central Church of Christ and was an avid Nascar and Chicago Cubs fan.
