James A. Conner

James A. Conner, 92 of Streator passed away Monday (May 22^nd) at Parker Nursing Home.

Visitation will be held Friday from 9 – 11 AM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 AM at the funeral home.  Burial will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Cathy Gaydos and Sherry Sorensen and all of his nieces.  Active pallbearers will be nephews Jeff Yacko, David, Phil and Kevin Conner, Brandon Blue and Brian Runyon.

Jim was born on August 19, 1924 in Streator to Wayne and Mary Ellen (Cox) Conner.

He is survived by a brother Lawrence Conner of Williamsburg, VA and several nieces and nephews.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents, brother Richard “Moose” Conner, sisters Rosemary Walling, Isabel Sopher and Colleen Yacko.

He retired from St. Mary’s Hospital Housekeeping department and was a former member of the former Immaculate Conception Church.  Jim was an avid fisherman.
