Harriet M Stith

Harriet M. Stith, 89 of Streator passed away Saturday afternoon (June 13th) at Parker Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Following cremation a visitation will be held Saturday from 10 – 11 AM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held Saturday at 11 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Cumberland Cemetery, rural Wenona at a later date.
Harriet was born on November 24, 1925 in Wenona to Herbert and Helen (Grimm) Crone. She married James Edward Stith on June 12, 1948. He passed away on November 23, 1981.
Surviving are sons Daniel Stith and Ronald (Laura) Stith both of Streator, grandchildren, Amanda, Callie, Danielle and Rebecca Stith and 1 great-granddaughter Gabryella Stith, sisters Hollis Armstrong and Hester White both of Wenona, sisters-in-law, Ann Stith and Joanna Stith both of Wenona and Mary Stith of Illinois.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband and a brother Harold.
Harriet graduated from the Wenona High School in 1942 and in her earlier years she worked at the Kroger Grocery Store in Wenona and in the office of the Wenona High School and the Streator Garter Factory and was a housekeeper and care giver in Streator. She was a member of the Central Church of Christ, Streator.
Memorials may be made to the family or a charity of the donors’ choice.
