Guadalupe "Lupe" J. Vargas, 75 of Streator passed away Thursday morning (Sept. 29th) at Heritage Manor, Streator.
A visitation will be held Tuesday from 4 - 6PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Services will be held Tuesday at 6PM at the funeral home with cremation rites following services. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Lupe was born on January 29, 1936 in Dwight, IL to Frank and Lupe (Toledo) Vargas.
She is survived by brothers Joe Vargas of Streator, Harold Vargas of Dwight, Lucus Vargas of Moline, IL, sisters, Judy Fritz of Dwight, Annie Giannerini of Dwight, Jen Gunez of Hammond, IN and Marie Herandez of CA, and several nieces and nephews.
Lupe is preceded in death by her parents, a brother Raymond, sisters, Louise Cordova and Helen Palmer.
She attended Streator Grade School and was affiliated with the Church of the Open Bible.
Memorials may be directed to the family of Lupe Vargas.
