Gloria E. Powers, 79, of Streator passed away Wednesday evening (Aug. 28th) at Heritage Health Care in Dwight.
A memorial visitation will be held on Friday (Sept. 6th) from 5-7PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.
Memorial services will be held on Friday at 7PM.
Burial will be at a later date.
Gloria was born February 24, 1934 in Elkhorn, WI to Clarence and Mabel (Taylor) Gilbert.
Surviving are children Lawrence (Peggy) Goldsmith of Philadelphia, Daniel (Janine Murray) Goldsmith of Riverside, CA, Jeffery (Kathy) Goldsmith of Fairbanks, Alaska, Clarence (Kris) Goldsmith of Streator, Timothy Martin of Dubuque, IA, Lori Powers of Streator, and Robert (Jade) Powers of Kentucky, 12 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by son, Terrance Goldsmith and a granddaughter, Gloria Jean Goldsmith.
Gloria attended Chenoa High School and Calvary Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and formerly a teacher at Head Start and a member of the Home League through the Salvation Army.
Memorials may be directed to the family of Gloria Powers.
