Gertrude M. Grimwood

Gertrude “Trudy” M. Grimwood, 66 of Streator passed away Sunday evening (Oct. 16th) at Heritage Heath Care in Streator.

A visitation will be held on Thursday from 11:30AM-1:30PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.  Services will be held on Thursday at 1:30PM at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Long Point Cemetery.

Gertrude was born on January 8, 1950 in Wellsville, MO, to Clifford and Luella (Smith) Grimwood.  

Surviving are sons, Bill (Anna) Casey of Utica and Henry Casey of Streator, 2 sisters, Barbara (Randal) Konieczny of Streator and Brenda (Ronald) Helander of Cornell, 2 brothers, Raymond Grimwood of Bloomington and Gary Grimwood of Streator, 2 granddaughters, 2 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and loving former spouse and father to her children, Joseph (Sheila) Casey of Streator.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Lester Casey, sisters, Anna and Virginia “Jenny.” 

Trudy attended Streator High School and Bloomington Beauty Academy.  She was a loving mother, sister and friend.  She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, strong spirit and love of music by Elvis Presley.  The family wishes to express their gratitude and appreciation of all the nurses and CNA’s who cared for Trudy over the years, especially those at Heritage Health Care in Streator.

Memorials may be directed to the family of Trudy Grimwood or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
