Gerlaine "Gigi" M. Vissering

Gerlaine “Gigi” M. Vissering, 67 of Streator, passed away Tuesday (April 14, 2026) at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.

Per her request there will be no services. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.

Gigi was born on October 19, 1958, in Streator to Leon and Lillian (Senko) McMenamin. She married Mark Vissering on September 12, 2015. He preceded her in death on December 11, 2024.

Surviving are her brothers, Mac (Carol) McMenamin of Wisconsin and Kevin (Jeanne) McMenamin of Long Point, beloved dog Pepper and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Mark, brother Jim, and sister DiAnne Ratliff and her beloved dog Peanut.

Gigi graduated from Woodland High School in 1976. She retired from Kroger Pharmacy and was formerly a hairdresser.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital.
