Gary G. Oldenburg

Gary G. Oldenburg, 78 of Streator passed away Wednesday (January 11, 2023) at the Ottawa Pavilion Nursing Home. 

Following cremation, a memorial celebration will be held at a later date. 

Winterrowd Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements. 

Gary was born on February 19, 1944, in Streator to Edward Elmer and Vera (Potter) Oldenburg.  He married Sandra Rodrick on February 17, 1969.  They later divorced.

Surviving are sons, Gary Oldenburg of Streator and Brian (Lora) Oldenburg of Salem, Oregon, daughters, Tanya Fredericksen, Heather (Curtis) Ahlstrom and Tracy (Candice Overby) Rodrick all of Streator, grandchildren, Rebekah, Annabelle and Gunnar Oldenburg, Ashley Fredericksen and Megan and Chase Ahlstrom and brothers, Charles, Edward and Robert Oldenburg all of Streator.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sister in infancy, Donna Mae Oldenburg, twin brother, Larry Oldenburg and uncle, Harold Oldenburg.

Gary attended Streator grade schools and graduated from Streator High School in 1962. 

He worked at Thatcher Glass from 1964 -1983.  Gary was a member of the Church of the Open Bible. 

Memorials may be made to Church of the Open Bible or to the American Cancer Society.
