Gary N. Cinnamon, 61 of Streator passed away Saturday evening (Sept. 17th) at his home.
A visitation will be held on Friday from 4-7PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10AM at Central Church of Christ. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Neal and Tyler Turner, Dylan Kovach, David Cinnamon, Dave and Mark Vissering.
Gary was born on August 27, 1950 in Streator to Floyd and Opal (McKain) Cinnamon.
He married Nancy Vissering on October 26, 1968. She survives.
Also surviving are children, Michael A. (Lisa Kovach) Cinnamon of Streator, Lisa A. (Kevin) Turner of Streator, and Daniel J. Cinnamon of Peru, 7 grandchildren, Ashli and Lesli Cinnamon, Dylan Kovach, Neal, Sara, and Tyler Turner, and Orion Raya, mother Opal Cinnamon of Streator, brother, Don (Cheryl) Cinnamon of Streator, In laws, Glen and Sally Vissering of Streator and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Cinnamon and son Joseph Dale in infancy.
Gary was employed at Transco. He was a member of the Streator Moose Lodge, serving as past governor, Streator Elks Lodge #591, and Central Church of Christ.
He graduated Streator High School in 1969.
Memorials may be directed to the Central Church of Christ or the family of Gary Cinnamon.
