Eula Mae Kelly

Eula M. Kelly, 92 of Streator passed away Thursday morning (May 4th) at Heritage Health and Senior Care.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 AM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.  Visitation will be held Monday from 9 – 11 AM at the funeral home.  Burial will be in the Camp Cemetery, rural Cornell.

Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons Craig Dimmig Jr., William Wright Jr., Jeremy Yanek, Lucas, Cory and Seth Kelly.  Honorary will be granddaughters Leanne Benner, Vicki Marie Dirks, Kim Lombard, Nichole Freese, Toni Lynn Yanek and Gabrielle Kelly.

Eula was born on December 30, 1924 in Odell to Barlow and Marie (Oberholtzer) Gould.  She married Leslie A. Kelly on January 16, 1943.  He preceded her in death on November 30, 1998.

Surviving are daughters Vicki (William) Wright, Bloomington,  Sharon (Jerry) Pitte of Streator, Elaine (Larry) Schwahn of Streator, son Bill (Deb) Kelly of Streator,  15 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren & 6 great-great-grandchildren,  sister Pauline Massie of Streator, sisters-in-law, Marilyn Gould and Sarah Gould both of Pontiac and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons Leslie Laverne and William Eugene both in infancy, 1 grandson Mark Natt, brothers Leroy and Eugene Gould and a sister Dolores Melvin.

Eula attended the Cornell Grade School and High.  She retired from Heritage Manor and was formerly employed at Woodland School in the Cafeteria.  Eula enjoyed basket weaving, doing jigsaw puzzles, word search books and spending time with family and friends.  She was also a very active member of the Church of the Nazarene.

Memorials may be made in her name to either St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the Shrines Crippled Children’s.
