Eric Charles Flanery

Eric C. Flanery, 47 of Marseilles and formerly of Streator passed away Tuesday (May 5, 2026) at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Ottawa.

Visitation will be held Monday from 10AM until 12noon at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Monday at 12noon at the funeral home with burial following in St. Stephen’s Cemetery.

Eric was born on February 13, 1979, in Streator to Sterling C. and Valerie (Podkanowicz) Flanery. He married Alicia Reeland on March 25, 2026. She survives.

Also surviving are, August Hulbert of Alsip, Addison (Dalton) Randall of Louisville, stepdaughter Emilee Martin of Streator, his mother Valerie (Terry) Kennedy of Streator, brother Matt (Samantha) Flanery of Streator, sister, Vanessa Kennedy of Streator, nephews, Roman and Leo Rodriguez and Chase and Emmitt Flanery.

He is preceded in death by his father, grandparents, Sterling and Barbara Flanery, William and Eleanore Podlanowicz.

Eric attended St. Stephen’s Grade School and graduated from Streator High School in 1997. He served in the US Air Force and was employed at Springbrook Marina. Eric enjoyed woodworking and cars.
