Ellen L. Redd

Ellen L. Redd, 77 of Streator passed away Wednesday (March 25, 2020) at her home. Following cremation a memorial service will be held at a later date with burial in Riverview Cemetery. Ellen was born on October 11, 1942 in Pana, IL to Robert and Ellen (Sminchak) Sphar. She married Kenneth Hamann in 1960, they later divorced. She married Francis “Frank” Redd on April 27, 1972. He preceded her in death on December 2, 2001. Surviving are children; Kenneth (Charlene) Hamann of Streator, Melanie (Larry Gillman) Ainsley of Streator and Larry Hamann of Thompson, 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren and a sister Helen (Herb) Holz of Streator. Ellen is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Michael and a brother Robert Sphar. Memorials may be made in her name to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
