Elizabeth “Betty†Jane Padgett, 71, of Streator passed away Friday evening (Nov. 8th) at St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5-8PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 11:30AM at St. Michael the Archangel Church.
Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be, Bob East, Chris and Max O’Brien, Craig Robertson, Sonny Sorenson, and Jeff Welch.
Betty was born on June 2, 1942 in Streator, to Harvey and Lolabell (Penny) Padgett.
Surviving is brother-in-law, Mavin Hahn of Streator, nieces, Robin (Jeff) Welch of Amboy, Tina (Mike) O’Brien of Streator, Cathy (Joel) Roller of Chicago, and Wendy (Craig) Robertson of Fairview Heights, and nephew Russell (Jamie) Hahn of Rutland.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Penny George and JoAnn Hahn, and maternal grandparents, George and Amanda Penny.
Betty graduated from Streator High School in 1961 and was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church. She retired from GTE-Verizon in Bloomington in December 2004. Betty was a sales associate with Bergner’s in Bloomington as a gift wrapper for many years and with the national gift wrappers.
Memorials may be directed the family of Betty Padgett or to The Baby Fold of Normal, IL
