Elizabeth Joanna Moore

Elizabeth Joanna Moore, 89 of Streator passed away Sunday (December 14, 2025) at the ARC of Streator.

Visitation will be held Saturday from 10AM until 12noon at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at noon at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Phillips Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be son Lyell Goldsmith, grandsons Dan and Jeremy Estes, Damien and Gabe Russell, James Melchers.

Elizabeth was born on June 17, 1936, in Streator to Lyell and Violet (Wirick) Cook. She married Clarence Moore in 1988. He preceded her in death in 1994.

Surviving are daughters, Linda (Daniel) Estes of Streator, Joanna Milashoski of Streator, Norma (Malcolm) Holm of Chebanse, sons, Henry Melchers of Streator, Lyell Goldsmith of Amarillo, TX and Philip Goldsmith of Pearblossom, CA, 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Clarence, daughter Gloria Ann Melchers in infancy, grandsons Luke Thomas and Michael Caleb Milashoski in infancy, sisters Rosemary Promenshenkel and Ruth Irwin and brother David Lyell Cook in infancy.

Elizabeth attended Streator Grade Schools and graduated from Streator High School in 1954. She was formerly employed at Owens Illinois Glass. Elizabeth was a member of the New Beginnings Baptist Church.
