Earnestine Hood

Earnestine Hood, 75 of Streator passed away Tuesday (September 17, 2019) at her home.

A visitation will be held Saturday (Sept. 28^th) from 10 – 12 noon at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.  Services will be held at noon at the funeral home.

Earnestine was born on February 2, 1944 in Marks, MS to Ernest and Ada (Griffin) Joiner.  She married Walter Hood Sr.  He survives.

Also surviving are children LaVon (Robert) Thurmond of Ft. Worth, TX, Curry Hood Jr of Streator, Sheila (Reginald) Wade of Merrillville, IN, Dale Hood of Streator, Walter Hood Jr. of Streator, David Hood of Streator and Frances (Paul) Smith of Peoria, a host of many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brother Randy Griffin of Blytheville, AR and a host of many nieces and nephews.

Earnestine is preceded in death by her parents, children Terry, Emmagene and Linda all in infancy and brothers Charles and Daniel.
