I have so many wonderful memories of you Grandma! You were such a wonderful grandmother, Brenda and I spent a lot of our childhood with you and loved playing cards with you and Grandpa. Our summer fishing trips with the two of you were the highlight of our summer! I reminisce with my youngest daughter about the great times we had together; I remember as a young child, I didn't like to eat meat unless it was very crispy and in order to get me to eat hamburgers, you made very tiny burgers and cooked them very crispy just for me; just one of the thoughful things you did to make us feel special. You did so many thoughtful things... When I was in middle school, I was devastated when my dog Kimothy was hit by a car, my mom was working, so you took him to the vet for me. I loved the Petticoat Tail cookies that you made for Christmas, I remember you keeping them in the attic stairway so they stayed cool and fresh. I make them every Christmas with my children and grandchildren. We frost them and put sprinkles and nuts on them and I get to tell them how wonderful of a grandmother that you were! You always made Nut bread rolls and saved me some in the freezer for when I visited. I make this nut bread and share it with my family. Another family favorite of ours is your Vegetable dip with cauliflower, we enjoy it every Thanksgiving, Christmas and every cookout we have. I haven't been able to visit you in several years... the last time I came to Illinois my youngest daughter (Madison) was 4 and remembers you because she loved the bobble-head ceramic dog you had in your living room. Every time that I talk about you she says " Is that your grandma with the bobble-head dog?" You didn't get to meet my grandchildren, but they will know how wonderful you were. I will see you again in Heaven. I love you "Kimmie"
