Doris Louise Geyer

Doris L. Geyer, 98 of Streator, IL passed away Friday (May 9, 2025) at the Pavilion of Ottawa.

Doris was born on November 7, 1926, in Streator to George and Nellie (Thomas) Kimes. She married Ervin Geyer on July 19, 1945. He preceded her in death on January 11, 2015.

Surviving is, son, Randy (Joy) Geyer of Waukesha, WI, daughter, Marcia Sorenson of St. Louis, MO and son, Sean Geyer of Streator. Grandchildren, Ahren (Michelle) Geyer, Mark (Shandell) Geyer, Troy Geyer (Austen), Tim (Kristen) Geyer and Melissa Elliott. Great grandchildren, Christopher, Scarlett, Tanner, Ezekiel and Andy.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Ervin, brothers, Raymond, Sheldon, Robert and Richard Kimes, sisters, Dorothy Bruni, Ruth Kimes, Marjorie Armstrong, Marilyn Ladtkow and Phyllis Scarbeary.

Doris attended Garfield Grade School and graduated from Streator High School in 1944. She was a member of Central Church of Christ, Streator, IL.

A visitation will be held Tuesday (May 27th) from 12noon until 1PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Phillips Cemetery.
