Doris J. Foster, 73 of Streator passed away Monday evening (August 24th) at OSF St. James Hospital, Pontiac.
A visitation will be held Friday from 4 – 7 PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Services will be held Friday at 7 PM. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Doris was born on September 22, 1941 in Streator to John and Idella (Dodge) Glowicki. She married Robert Foster on April 28, 1962. He survives.
Also surviving are daughters, Michelle (Barry) Sullivan, Melanie (Todd) Cashmer, daughter-in-law, Charlene Foster all of Streator, 6 grandchildren, Dusti (Rance) Vaughan Sr., BJ Sullivan, Holly and Jessica Cashmer, Christa and Kurt Foster, 4 great-grandchildren, Lillian, Miley, Rance Jr. and Tennyson Vaughan, sisters-in-law, Jean Glowicki of Bloomington and Audrey Glowicki of Streator.
She is preceded in death by her parents, step-son Ron Foster and brothers John and Lou Glowicki.
Doris graduated from Streator High School in 1959 and retired from Owens Illinois Glass after 35 yrs.
She enjoyed going camping, fishing and gardening.
Memorials may be made in her name to either the American Lung Association or RIC (Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago.
