Donald "Don Boy" King

Donald “Don Boy” William King, 72 of Streator passed away Monday (January 12, 2026) at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.

Following cremation, a private family celebration of life will be held.

Don was born on June 7, 1953, in Streator to Earl and Carol (Osborne) King. He married Debra Kay King in June of 1998. She preceded him in death on July 9, 2015.

Don was a friend to so many people. He was a helping hand, someone to talk to, and someone to have a great time with. He wanted for nothing and gave everything. Don was the best neighbor, the best stepfather, the best brother, the best grandpa and the best buddy to have. His happiest memories will live on at the campground that he enjoyed spending so much of his time at with the love of his life and his grandchildren. He loved shooting his beloved guns at the sportsman club and gun ranges, listening to rock and roll on his “awesome” speakers, fishing, and drinking bottomless margaritas. He enjoyed going to church of the open Bible on Sundays, working on cars, and partying with his friends and family. Don was a stranger to none and loved spending time with people. To say that he will be missed will be the understatement of the century. Don is now in our beautiful heaven with his “Red”, puppy Allie and his best friend and twin brother Danny. He passed away surrounded by the people who loved him most, and he will forever leave a massive void in our hearts.
