Delores Anne Scarbeary

Delores Anne Scarbeary, 91 of Streator passed away Tuesday (June 23, 2026) at the Pavilion of Ottawa.

Following cremation, graveside services will be held Saturday (July 18th) at 11AM at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery.

Delores was born on February 26, 1935, in Wenona to Earl and Faye (Chisholm) Reaska. She married Ronald Scarbeary on August 22, 1953. He preceded her in death on February 12, 1993.

Surviving is her son, Ron (Marilyn) Scarbeary of Streator, grandchildren, Eric Scarbeary, Sarah Scarbeary, April (John) Nguyen, Bryan (Jessica) Scarbeary and Matt Scarbeary, great grandchildren, Alicia, Emmalina, Lucas, Lorelei, Oliver and Bella, great-great grandson Kingston, brothers, Floyd “Butch” Reaska of Streator and Ron Reaska of Normal, sister, Karla Bence of Peru and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Ronald, sons Bill and Bob, brothers, James, George and Earl “Sonny”, sisters, Francis, Sue, Jean, Edith, Dorothy, Joanna, Verna and Marilyn.

Delores has worked at GC Murphy, St. Mary’s School and was a care giver for the elderly for many years.

Delores loved her grandchildren, always willing to help others, loved being outdoors and working with her flowers and going shopping.
