Debra J. Bressner

Debra J. Bressner, 72 of Streator passed away Wednesday (February 4, 2026) at her home.

Private family services were held at the Winterrowd Funeral Home with burial in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Debra was born on February 20, 1953, in Streator to Arnold and Dorothy (Lutes) Rogers. She married Jacob Bressner on June 26, 1999. He survives.

Also surviving are children Sheri (Brian) Posey of Streator, Eric (Beth) Bressner of Streator, Stephanie (Michael) Coons of LaSalle, grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Jacob and Ethan Posey, Blaize and Katherine Bressner, Abby Coons, Nick McGee and A.J. Coons, five great-grandchildren, brothers Amos (Debra) Rogers of Streator and Anthony (Michelle) Rogers of Walnut and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and son Brian Jerde in infancy.

Debra attended Streator Grade Schools and graduated from Streator High School in 1971. She retired from Centennial Grade School in the office and was a member of the Central Church of Christ.

Debra enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, thrift shopping and looking for treasures at garage sales.

Memorials may be made to the Illinois Valley Animal Rescue or Pet Project.
