Darlene M. Lopez

Darlene “Sissy” M. Lopez, 75 of Streator passed away Friday (June 28, 2019) at Parker Nursing and Rehabilitation Health Care.

Visitation will be held Friday from 10 – 12noon at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held Friday at noon at the funeral home.  Burial will be in the Riverview cemetery at a later date.

Darlene was born on December 29, 1943 in Streator to Arthur and Goldie (Hamsten) Roberts.  She married John R. Lopez.  He preceded her in death.

Surviving are children, Rosie (Luis) Sanchez of Streator, Marcus Lopez of Streator, Carmen (Leo) Diaz of Indiana and Jerry Lopez of Kernan, former son-in-law Joaquin Perez of Streator, grandchildren, Ann Lopez, Teresa Perez and Alicia Perez, Jesus, Evelyn, Vincente and Juan Lopez, sisters Maxine Heilman of Louisiana, Rosemary of Louisiana, and Bonnie.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, several brothers and sisters.

Darlene attended Streator Grade Schools and was affiliated with the Church of the Open Bible.
