Daniel E. Kolodziej

Daniel E. Kolodziej, 81 of Streator passed away Thursday morning (March 9, 2023) at Heritage Health, Streator.

Per his request there will be no services.  Burial will be in Phillips Cemetery.

Dan was born on October 19, 1941, in Streator to Edward and Dorothy (Hart) Kolojay.  He married Carol Kudrick on October 5, 1963.  She survives.

Also surviving are, Angela (Thomas) Minick of Streator, James (Tania) Kolodziej of Goodyear, AZ, Holly (Julie Hoskins) Kolodziej of Streator, Amanda (Mike) Andrew of Decatur, grandchildren; Lakin, Danielle, Mia, Bailey, Braden, Brixton, Clara, Jacob, Piper, Wes and Dean, great grandchildren Shea, Jace and Layla and brother Ken Kolojay of Las Vegas, NV.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother Edward.

Dan attended Streator grade schools and Streator High School.  He served in the US Army.  Dan retired from Flinks Mfg as a machinist.  He was a Indianapolis Colt fan.  Dan enjoyed trapping, hunting, and fishing.  Dan was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church.

Memorials may be made in his name to the Livingston County Humane Society.

The Winterrowd Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
