Chelsea Taylor

Chelsea Taylor, 93 of Streator passed away Wednesday evening (February 17^th) at the Flanagan Rehabilitation & Health Care Center.

A visitation will be held Monday from 9 – 11 Am at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held at 11 at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.

Chelsea was born December 27, 1922 in Hopedale, IL to Levi and Goldie (Petty) Roberts.  She married Virgil Taylor Sr. on October 15, 1942.  He passed away on December 6, 1994.

Surviving are sons, Virgil (Joann) Taylor of Streator, Rollie Eugene Taylor of Streator, 10 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 15 great-great-grandchildren, brothers Darrell Roberts of Streator and Donald Neville of Pekin.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Virginia Reed, granddaughter Ashley Reed, and 3 brothers.

Chelsea lived most of her life in Streator and was a member of the Central Church of Christ and she also enjoyed playing cards and going on long car rides.

Memorials may be made in her name to either St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or a charity of the donors choice.
