Charles W. Drosten

Charles W. Drosten, 95, of Streator passed away Sunday (January 29, 2023) at his home.

A memorial visitation will be held Friday (Mar. 3^rd) from 6 – 8 PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.

 Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery at a later date.

Charlie was born on June 10, 1927, in Streator to Fred and Blanche Anne (Masters) Drosten.

He married Blanche Sibert on June 4, 1954.  She passed away April 17, 2004. 

He is survived by his daughters, Eunice (Gary) LeBeau of Marseilles, Brenda Drosten of Streator and Carla (Ernie) Newell of Streator, 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 10 great- great grandchildren. 

He is preceded in death by his wife, son, Charles William Drosten in infancy and grandson, David Drosten.    

Charles attended Garfield Grade School. 

He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and the Korean Conflict. 

He was a member of the Streator VFW and Streator Eagles.

Charlie was an active Iron Worker and member of the Local #444 were he retired from in 1993.
