Carol "Sonny" F. Winstead

Carol “Sonny” F. Winstead Jr., 46 of Douglasville, GA and formerly of Streator passed away Thursday (June 8, 2023) in Georgia.

A visitation will be held Monday (June 19^th) from 3 – 5 PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.  Funeral services will follow at 5 PM at the funeral home.

Sonny was born on January 19, 1977, in Bartlesville, OK to Carol F. and Mary Sandra (Brink) Winstead.

Surviving are sister, Sandra Winstead of Streator, half brother Eric Marten of Vienna, IL, nieces, Alaina and Avery Winstead and several cousins and foster siblings.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Uncle and Aunt Pete and Evelyn Brennan who raised him and who were his foster parents, and Cousin James McDonald.

Sonny attended Tonica grade school and graduated from LaSalle-Peru High School in 1995.  He was a laborer, machine operator and landscaper.
