Arlie E. Defenbaugh

Arlie E. Defenbaugh Sr. 87 of Streator, passed away Sun. (Dec. 20th) at Heritage Manor Nursing Home.

Private Family Services will be held. Burial will be in Defenbaugh Cemetery, Ancona. Winterrowd Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Born, December 31, 1921 in Streator, IL to Noah and Edith (Hicks) Defenbaugh.

Married Agnes Cotter on August 10, 1971, she passed away July of 2001.

Surviving are Daughter, Barbara Schmitt, Streator, Son, David (Linda) Fairall, Morris, Son, Arlie Earl Defenbaugh Jr., Cairo, IL, Son, Lonnie Ray (Kay) Defenbaugh, Vista, ,CA, Daughter, Marilyn (Larry) McCann, Ransom, Daughter, Carol Ann Defenbaugh, Streator, 16 Grandchildren, 24 Great-Grandchildren, Sisters, Wanda Neu, Streator, Alicia Powell, Oregon, and his good buddy, Panda.

He was preceded in death by, 1 grandson, Brian Christopher Clift, Brothers, Loren, Donald, and Franklin Defenbaugh, 1 sister, Lola Matsko.

Attended Streator High School and served in the U.S. Army during WW II and Korean Conflict from Sept. 16, 1940 to Nov. 21, 1950, He retired from Anchor Glass, Streator, he was a lifetime member of the Streator VFW Post 1492 and served in the Civilian Conservation Corporation.
